Inmaa Energy Projects proudly contributed to the KAR Group’s Gas-to-Home Pipeline Project in Erbil, providing commissioning and calibration services for Rotork’s Gas-over-Oil actuators under a service engagement tied to Rotork's contract with KAR Group.
As part of this strategic infrastructure development aimed at extending domestic gas supply in Erbil, Inmaa’s engineering team was tasked with the commissioning of five main Shutdown Valves (SDVs) equipped with Gas-over-Oil actuator systems. These advanced actuators are specifically designed for pipeline applications where high torque and fail-safe operation are critical.
Gas-over-Oil actuators utilize pipeline gas as the power medium but operate with the smooth response and control advantages of a hydraulic actuator. This makes them ideal for remote, high-pressure pipeline shutdown operations, ensuring rapid stroke times, fail-close safety features, and reliable performance in rugged environments—precisely the demands of KAR Group’s distribution network in northern Iraq.
The commissioning was completed with utmost professionalism, attention to detail, and full alignment with health, safety, and environmental protocols. This project underscores Inmaa’s ability to manage technically demanding actuator configurations and support mission-critical infrastructure across Iraq’s evolving gas transmission grid.
